Why Use My PC or Skype to Talk?
Of course, many people try Skype, other PC voice applications, or IM (Instant Messaging) and just don't get the value. If you think your PC communication is your phone or the same as your phone, you will miss the total value. If you are just trying to save money so you can brag about it, there are so many ways to save on phone costs.
Even if you only consider point-to-point voice conversation (same as a phone call), the PC offers some new values. If you are only calling the folks down the street and don't have any international communication needs, you may not find an Internet-connected PC useful for personal communications. However, today many families are even using these Internet communications within the home.
