TeleVoceTM CEO speaking on PC-based VoIP at Frost & Sullivan panel, "Innovations in IP Communications," at June GlobalComm
TeleVoceTM Inc. founder and CEO, Ed Prentice, will be participating on Frost & Sullivan's panel, "Innovations in IP Communications," on Tuesday, June 6 2006, at GlobalComm in Chicago, IL, starting at 1:30 pm central time. Ed's topic will be "Innovating at the network edge: the momentum toward PC-based VoIP." Moderated by Lynda Starr, Frost & Sullivan's senior analyst, IP Communications, the panel is also scheduled to include Eli Katz of Xconnect and Scott Lomond of SightSpeed. TeleVoce offers a personal communications server, VillaVoce™, which delivers personalization and greater user choice for Internet telephony consumers through TeleVoce-Connected VoIP phones, adapters and software applications from TeleVoce and its licensees.
Said Ed Prentice, president and CEO of TeleVoce, "Skype/eBay's recent announcement of free calls in the US and Canada through the end of the year is one of the latest indications that industry momentum for consumers is moving toward PC-based Internet telephony. Marrying the power of the PC with telephony control and the Internet means opening a world of choice for users of VoIP services. Today users can turn an ordinary phone into a VoIP phone with TeleVoce-Connected adapters and phones. In the near future, the consumer will have the ability to personalize his or her Internet telephony experience through downloadable software applications such as intelligent auto-attendants and more powerful answering machines. I am delighted to be a part of this panel on IP communication innovations, and appreciate Lynda Starr's leadership in putting it together."
